About me

Committed to excellence in economic education.

My research focus is on economic education.

I received my Ph.D. in Economic Education from the University of Delaware and am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Oklahoma State University.

I have a bachelor’s degree in social studies secondary education and a master’s degree in history. Prior to earning my doctorate, I taught high school social studies, including AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics. My research specializes in economic education, and my scholarly work has appeared in academic journals, such as The Journal of Economic Education and the American Economic Association Papers & Proceedings. I am also the co-editor of War Movies and Economics: Lessons from Hollywood’s Adaptations of Military Conflicts. In addition, I serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education and published The Status of Women in Oklahoma: A Summary Report to United WE in April 2022.

Women in Oklahoma

In April 2022, I published The Status of Women in Oklahoma: A Summary Report to United WE. This study examined the economic and civic status of women in Oklahoma and the United States. I have given several presentations and media interviews on these findings.
